Welcome to Speech & Language!

Dear Parents,

Hello and welcome to a new school year! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable summer. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Rhaveena Rivera and I will be the new Speech-Language Pathologist working with your child this year. This is my 3rd year working in the district. I graduated from CSU Sacramento with my second Bachelors Degree in Speech Pathology and my Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders from CSU East Bay.

This year I will provide speech/language therapy services virtually using Zoom platform.  I will be covering Questa Elementary TK through 8th grade students and Mountain House High School. I am excited to begin a new school year and I hope that your family is excited too. I believe that parents are the first and most important teachers in their child’s life. With this in mind, as your child works on new skills I will be sending home materials for home practice.  Practice at home is intended to be quick and easy to ensure your child’s participation. If you are unable to practice at home, don’t worry!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Email is generally the quickest way to contact me during the school day. My email address is [email protected]. I will try to respond to your email within 1-2 business days.
